Varsity Eight Named WCC Crew of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Coming off a commanding head-to-head performance against Washington State, Oregon State's varsity eight has been named West Coast Conference Crew of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Coxed by Taylor Denger, the boat featured Lauren Garrett, Quincey Ludwig, Giulia Clerici, Rhi Loughnan, Margo Calub, Linda Weitmann, Ashtyn Miller and Linda Weitmann.
Following victories by the 3V4, 2V4, 1V4 and 2V8, the varsity eight kept momentum going on Saturday with another quality win, completing the 2,000-meter course in exactly 6:35.00, over 10 seconds ahead of Washington State (6:45.42).
Tuesday's announcement is the Beavers' second weekly award of the 2026 spring season.
Oregon State women's rowing returns to action at the West Coast Conference Championships. Action begins Friday, May 15, in Gold River, Calif., at Lake Natoma.
