First Varsity Eight Named WCC Crew of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Coming off a dominant performance at the Oregon State Invite, Oregon State's varsity eight has been named West Coast Conference Crew of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Coxed by Taylor Denger, the boat featured Lauren Garrett, Linda Weitmann, Tulla Angeley, Rhi Loughnan, Margo Calub, Zoe Eberle, Giulia Clerici and Charlotte Lightfoot.
Following a victory by the 2V8+, the varsity eight won on Saturday in convincing fashion, completing the 2,000-meter course in 6:52.80, some 21 seconds ahead of second place Gonzaga (7:13.78) and 30 seconds ahead of third place Santa Clara (7:22.62).
Tuesday's announcement is the Beavers' first weekly award of the 2026 spring season.
Oregon State women's rowing returns to action at the 2026 Big Ten Invite at Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif., competing April 18-19.
