Oregon State Women’s Rowing is recruiting athletes from all athletic backgrounds who seek an opportunity to try a new sport, get in really good shape, and ultimately try out for the varsity women’s rowing team.

We are looking for tall, competitive and intrinsically motivated athletes that want to continue their athletic careers at the Division 1 level.

How to try out:
- Sign up for PAC 205,
- Section 001
- CRN 14870
- Attend the informational meeting the first day of class – Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025 at 4 p.m. in the Toyota Club on the third level of Reser Stadium.Â
- Towards the end of the term a selected group of athletes will be invited to formally try out
- From the formal try out group we will invite a more select group to join the team

FAQs:
- How can I best prepare for tryouts?
- Be in the best shape possible through cardio and strength training 4-5 times per week
- Does it cost anything?
- The class costs $49 to take, but if you make the team there are no dues, we are a fully supported Division I program within Athletics
- How long is the season?
- Officially we are a spring sport, but we begin training in the early fall and continue through winter
- Where do we practice?
- Our boathouse is located about 1.5 miles from campus just across the Willamette river
- How can I balance school work, classes, and practice?
- With proper time management it can be done, in fact our team consistently has a GPA around 3.4
- What support services are available to members of the team?
- Tutoring, a full-time academic counselor, medical staff, nutritionist, strength coach, along with career and leadership support
