In September of 2011 the rowing Beavers opened the OSU Boathouse. The $1.5 million facility, located on the banks of the Willamette River, includes locker rooms for both the men's and women's rowing teams, as well as meeting space and boat storage.
The opening marked the first phase of a facility that will eventually add a strength and conditioning area, coaches' offices and additional team space.
The Beavers' men's and women's rowing programs have a rich heritage that includes World Champions, Olympians and other international standouts.
The rowing teams' race home is Dexter Lake, located in the foothills of the beautiful Cascade Mountains. The picturesque reservoir is a gateway to some of the best recreational areas in the United States and provides a fantastic setting for competition.
