CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Jason Heide and Deaundra Tanner each scored 21 points as Oregon State slowed down high-scoring Wyoming 83-77 Monday night.
Brian Jackson added 18 points for the Beavers (7-2), and Tanner had a career-high 10 assists.
LeDarion Jones scored a career-high 26 points to lead Wyoming (6-4).
Wyoming came in averaging 87.2 points and more than eight 3-pointers a game, but the Cowboys made just 6-of-19 from long range.
The loss of center Ugo Udezue, who had season-ending surgery on his left knee last week, left Wyoming with a small lineup that was dominated by the 6-foot-10 Heide and the 6-9 Jackson.
Wyoming trailed by 13 late in the first half and by eight at halftime, but two straight 3-pointers by Jones helped the Cowboys pull close. A jumper by Justin French tied it at 51 with 15:39 to play.
Oregon State pulled away with perimeter shooting. A 3-pointer by Jackson put the Beavers ahead 56-52, and a 3-pointer by Adam Masten, followed by Heide's hook and a 3-pointer by Tanner, made it 68-57.
Wyoming made another run, getting within 76-72 on Jones' hook, and Oregon State opened the door by missing seven of eight free throws in the final 1:08. But the Cowboys threw the ball away twice in the last minute, and couldn't get closer.
French added 14 points and Chris McMillian had 13 for Wyoming, which was coming off a 99-80 loss at Indiana on Saturday.
Oregon State, playing the Cowboys for the first time since 1978, won its 14th straight non-conference home game.
