Expanded Seating Coming To Goss
March 01, 2018 | Baseball
OSU opens a four-game series with Hartford on Friday
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Vice President and Director of Athletics Scott Barnes announced Thursday that additional seats have been added at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field for the 2018 season.
Â
The seating will be available starting with the Beavers' home-opening series versus Hartford this weekend.
Â
General admission seating has been added in right center, between the scoreboard and center field batter's eye, replacing the standing room only platform. The seating area will add an approximate 250 seats and cost $13 ($20 for series vs. Cal State Fullerton and Oregon), the same as the seats past the right field fence. These seats will not have access to the main Goss Stadium stands.
Â
Tickets are available for purchase at beavertickets.com/baseball or by calling 1-800-GOBEAVS between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The ticket office at Goss Stadium opens two hour before that day's first pitch.
Â
The Beavers enter the 2018 season having sold out 19 consecutive games, and averaged a school-record 3,261 fans per home date last season. OSU rode that support to a 31-1 record at Goss Stadium, the best single-season mark in school history. The Beavers hold a 122-24-1 (.833) record at Goss since 2013, averaging better than 24 wins per year.
Â
The series with Hartford begins at 4:05 p.m. PT Friday, and is followed by a doubleheader Saturday that starts at 1:05 p.m. Sunday's series finale is scheduled for a 12:05 p.m. first pitch.
Â
Clear Bag Policy
As an additional security measure and to provide our fans a more consistent and efficient entry process, Oregon State Athletics is implementing a clear bag policy for all ticketed athletic events beginning with baseball games this season. This policy limits the size and types of bags that are permitted inside the stadium, but is not a restriction on many of the items that fans have brought into the stadium in the past.
Â
Approved bags include clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags that do not exceed 12"x 6"x 12"; one gallon clear, re-sealable plastic storage bags; and small clutch bags no larger than 4.5" x 6.5" (approximately the size of a hand) with or without a handle or strap.
