Why is Oregon State reseating Goss Stadium?
Infield reserved seats at Goss Stadium have sold out annually on a season-ticket basis. Today’s college athletics landscape requires new methods to drive resources. The reseat will place OSU Baseball alongside other sports who create student-athlete opportunities through ticket strategies. The reseat will also ensure fairness based on investment.
What’s the overall goal of the reseat?
This process rewards investment in OSU Athletics with better seating opportunities and increases fundraising for student-athlete revenue share and support.
When will the reseat take place?
The reseat will begin in January 2027. Only current baseball season ticket holders will participate, and seat selection appointments will be assigned in order of each account’s Beaver Point ranking as of December 31, 2026. Contributions to increase Beaver Points must be in by December 24, 2026 to guarantee their inclusion for the reseat.
Is there another planned reseat for Baseball Season Ticket holders?
Yes. It has been established that a Baseball season ticket holder reseat will occur every four years. The next reseat will take place for the 2031 season.
Who is eligible to take part in the reseat?
Only current baseball season ticket holders are eligible.
What is a retention contribution?
A retention contribution is a donation amount that will allow season ticket holders to retain their same exact seat location.
How will seat selection work?
All reserved seat season ticket holders will have the option to make a retention contribution to keep their same exact seat location. Those who elect not to make the retention contribution will receive a specific appointment time via email the first week in January 2027 indicating their new seat selection timeframe. Seat selection will take place in order of Beaver Point ranking. Fans can choose seats online or in person with the sales team (in-person appointments must be scheduled at least two days in advance). Accounts can only select up to the number of seats they held in 2026. To maximize capacity, fans may not select seats that leave a single unoccupied seat in a row.
How was the retention contribution determined for each section?
Several mock seat relocations were performed, estimating where each season ticket holder would select seats based on Beaver Point rank as of Oct. 1, 2026, and ticket holder tendencies. An estimated minimum Beaver Point total to obtain seats in each section was established. Each season ticket holder has a unique retention contribution that will align their Beaver Point total with the section minimum.
If your Beaver Points exceeded the estimated, minimum, the retention contribution equates to $2,500/seat.
If I decrease my number of season tickets, does that reduce my retention contribution?
No. Retention contributions establish the opportunity for a season ticket holder to purchase tickets in the section of their current seats.
What is my retention contribution if I have seats in two different sections?
For season ticket holders in this scenario, a retention contribution for each section they held seats in will be provided.
I have already made a donation to increase my Beaver Points, can it be applied to my retention contribution?
Retention contributions were established based on Beaver Point totals as of October 1, 2026. As a result, donations that were previously made to increase Beaver Points helped reduce the individual retention contributions. Donations made after October 1 can be placed toward retention contributions.
Is the retention contribution tax-deductible?
No. Per IRS rules, contributions that provide the right to purchase a ticket in a home venue are not tax-deductible.
Can retention contributions be made through a payment plan or multiple years?
Yes. retention contributions can be made over a three-year period. A donor signed gift agreement must be established. How long do retention contributions allow me to retain my seat?
Through the 2030 season.
What is the timeline to make a retention contribution?
Retention contributions must be made, or agreements signed, by December 24, 2026.
If I make retention contributions, will I also receive an appointment time to select seats?
Only ticket holders with seats in two sections will receive an appointment time if they make a retention contribution for one seat block but not the other.
Can I add seats to my account during the reseat process?
No. During the reseat, accounts may select only the number of reserved season tickets they held in 2026. Any remaining seats may be available for purchase after the reseat.
Does this limit my ability to purchase additional season tickets for the 2026 season?
Additional season tickets may be purchased after the reseat, if inventory remains.
Can I sit with family or friends?
Yes. To select seats together, all members of the group must wait until the lowest-ranked account is eligible to select.
Will ADA seating be available?
Yes. Procedures will be in place to ensure accessible seating throughout the reseat. Additional details will be provided before appointments begin.
Will any seats be unavailable during this process?
Yes. A limited number of seats may be reserved for visiting-team ticket obligations, university needs and logistical considerations.
Are per-seat contributions being added?
Beginning with the 2027 season, most infield seats will include a per-seat contribution in addition to the ticket cost. These contributions support Oregon State Athletics and help sustain the fan and student-athlete experience. Per-seat contribution amounts will be reviewed annually. View the 2027 seating map here.
How can I improve my seat location or appointment time?
Fans can improve their Beaver Point ranking by making additional gifts to Oregon State Athletics before December 31, 2026. A higher ranking results in an earlier seat-selection appointment. How are priority points calculated?
Priority points recognize long-term loyalty and financial support for Oregon State Athletics. Factors include years as a season ticket holder, lifetime giving to OSU Athletics, and annual gifts to the Athletics Fund for Excellence, Fearless or a specific sport. What if I don’t open or respond to emails?
Accounts that do not respond to email communications will receive phone calls in December 2026 to ensure they have the information needed for the reseat. Please confirm that your contact information is current and that you have not opted out of emails.
Will there be another opportunity to select seats once the right-field project is complete?
Yes. Once construction is complete, fans will have an opportunity to review and select seats in the new right-field area. Current season ticket holders will have the first opportunity.
Will seating comparable to right field be available for the 2027 season?
Yes. Stadium capacity for the 2027 season will be consistent with 2026.
What type of seats and how many will be in right field once the project is complete?
At this stage in the project process, exact seating products, quantities and design have not been finalized. When this information is final, it will be communicated to fans.
