Drew Eubanks Earns All-Pac-12 Recognition
March 06, 2017 | Men's Basketball
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Drew Eubanks received All-Pac-12 honorable mention recognition as selected by a vote of the conference coaches, Commissioner Larry Scott announced Monday.
Â
Eubanks is the first Oregon State sophomore to earn All-Pac-12 honors since Jared Cunningham in 2011.
Â
The 6-foot-10 forward is second in the Pac-12 in blocked shots per game (2.2), third in field goal percentage (.593) and seventh in rebounding (8.5). He has eight double-doubles this season and has scored 20-plus points seven times.
Â
A native of Troutdale, Ore., Eubanks has recorded career highs in points (32 vs. Southern Oregon), rebounds (18 vs. Lamar) and blocked shots (7 vs. Prairie View A&M) this season. The seven blocks tied an Oregon State single-game record (Gary Payton II, Nov. 21, 2015 vs. Colorado).
Â
Eubanks had at least one blocked shot in 17 consecutive games this season, the second-longest streak in Oregon State history and just three games short of the school record (Nick DeWitz, 20, Jan. to Dec. 2005). His 69 blocked shots are tied for the second most in Oregon State single-season history and his 108 career blocks are the sixth most in program history.
Â
It's the ninth straight year an Oregon State player has earned All-Pac-12 recognition. The Beavers now have 37 All-Pac-12 selections since 1979.
Â
Oregon State opens the Pac-12 Tournament at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday against California at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The game will be televised on Pac-12 Network.
