Â
Do you have a specific pre-race ritual?
I don't really have a pre-race ritual. I kind of just do it. I do talk to my crew before every race about a race plan and give my teammates a fist bump before we race.Â
Â
What has been your favorite moment as an OSU athlete?
My favorite moment as an OSU athlete was beating Louisville in the Varsity 8 my freshman year. It was a great moment because they were ranked higher than us coming into the race.Â
Â
If you had a pump-up song what would it be?
My pump-up song would have to be a Lil Durk – Dis Ain't What You Want.
Â
If you could play a different college sport at Oregon State, what would it be and why?
It would be track & field, because I did track from middle school all the way up until my senior year of high school and I kind of miss it. Plus, I have a lot of friends on the track team. Shout out to OSU Track & Field.Â
What do you like best about Corvallis?
What I like best about Corvallis is the OSU campus. We have a really pretty campus. I also like the places to eat for breakfast like Sam's Station and Broken Yolk. I like Benny's Donuts too!
How would you describe your teammates?
They're dramatic, but they are all very strong individuals that I enjoy being around every day. We help each other become better people and rowers.Â
How would you describe the coaching staff?
The coach staff is very new and young and I like them a lot. They take what we say and how we feel into consideration all the time. I believe that they will be able to take Oregon State Women's Rowing to a new level.Â
Â
Where are you most excited to race at?
I am excited to race in Texas, because this is a race that we have never been to before. It is something fresh and new.Â
Â
What would be your favorite vacation destination?
My favorite vacation spot would have to be any place where there is an amusement park. Every year during the summer months, my aunt takes all of her nieces and nephews to a different amusement park. I sound like a child but that's my idea of a vacation.Â
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In 10 years, I see myself having my bachelor's and master's degrees, having a good job and finally living in the real world.
Â
If you were a superhero what super power would you want? Why?
If I was a super hero the super power I would want is to be able to heal people. Being a public health major, you realize all of the issues that are going on around the world. Me being able to be a healer would fix a lot of these problems.Â
