Beavers Fall to California in First Regatta of 2026

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. – Oregon State women's rowing opened its 2026 spring campaign with a regatta in Redwood Shores, Calif., falling to California in each of its four head-to-head matchups.
Saturday's racing began with the varsity eight placing second, finishing the 2,000 meter course in 6:34.2, and continued when the 2V8 placed second to the Golden Bars with a 6:46.7. In the varsity four's first race of the season, California had a three-second edge, 7:16.7 to 7:19.7, as the 2V4 also finished second mere minutes later with a time of 7:42.6.
Beaver women's rowing returns to action March 28 in Lowell, Ore., hosting the 2026 Oregon State Invite, which will feature Gonzaga, Portland, Santa Clara and Seattle U.
