Stewart to Race at World Championships for Canada

Former Oregon State rower Jessica Stewart was named to the Canadian Under-23 National Team as was announced this week by Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA).
"We've selected a strong team to represent Canada at this year's World Rowing Championship," said Peter Cookson, High Performance Director, RCA. "The athletes selected have continued to show great progress throughout the year and displayed a high-caliber of rowing through the selection process. Rotterdam will be a great opportunity to test themselves in a very competitive international field."
Stewart, who exhausted her eligibility at OSU this past spring will race as part of the women's four. The Victoria, B.C. native will be part of a crew that also includes Sierra Bronkhorst, Karen Lefsrud and Morgan Cathrea.
She earned letters each of her four seasons at OSU earning a seat in the Varsity 8 each year.
The World Rowing Championships will take place from August 21 to 28 at Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
