CORVALLIS, Ore. – Bryce Fehmel scattered five hits and two runs in a career-long six innings and KJ Harrison drove in two on the strength of three hits to pace the seventh-ranked Oregon State baseball team to a 6-2 victory over Central Arkansas Friday at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.

The Beavers and Bears continue their series Saturday afternoon in Hillsboro as a part of the Dam City Showcase. First pitch from Ron Tonkin Field is scheduled for 2:35 p.m. PT.

Fehmel made his third career start and held the Bears to two runs – one apiece in the second and fourth inning – while striking out three. He surpassed his previous long of 5 2/3 innings against San Diego State and picked up the win to improve to 6-0 on the year.

Those six victories tie him for first in the Pac-12 Conference this season.

Harrison, meanwhile, paced an Oregon State (20-7 overall) offense that recorded 11 hits. He tripled home a run in the first, then blooped a double into center – thanks to a center fielder playing very deep – for the Beavers' fourth run of the game. He capped off his night with a one-out triple to center that later led to the Beavers' fifth run thanks to a Central Arkansas passed ball.

For Harrison, it was his 10^th multiple-hit game of the season and seventh multi-RBI effort.

Jack Anderson, Kyle Nobach and Christian Donahue each all had two hits for the Beavers, who improved to 4-3 all-time against Southland Conference members. OSU is 1-0 against Central Arkansas.

Anderson drove in two runs in the win.

Central Arkansas' Connor Gilmore took the loss after allowing 10 hits and six runs in 7 1/3 innings. He dropped to 2-5 this season.

Jordan Britton and Max Engelbrekt combined for three innings of shutout relief for the Beavers. The duo scattered one hit and struck out three.
