Oregon State Scores 9 In 3rd To Win 18-0 At Washington State
April 06, 2026 | Baseball
PULLMAN, Wash. - Bryson Glassco hit a grand slam in Oregon State's nine-run third inning and the Beavers never looked back in an 18-0 win over Washington State in seven innings Monday at Bailey-Brayton Field.
Â
Glassco's grand slam came during Oregon State's biggest inning of the season, one that saw the Beavers send 12 batters to the plate. OSU recorded six hits in the inning, which included a run-scoring double by Easton Talt, an RBI single by Bryce Hubbard and an RBI on a single to left center by Josh Proctor.
Â
AJ Singer gave the Beavers a 5-0 lead thanks to a two-run single, leading to Glassco's grand slam, coming on a 2-0 count from Washington State reliever Erik Rodriguez. Glassco went opposite field, getting the ball over the fence to the left of the foul pole for his third home run of the season.
Â
Proctor also hit a home run, his fifth of the year, in the sixth. He finished the day with three hits, coming just a triple short of the cycle.
Â
Proctor also hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth, while Nyan Hayes also hit one in the fifth.
Â
Eric Segura started for the Beavers and went four full, scattering a hit and four walks with six strikeouts. Because the game went just four innings he qualified for the win, improving to 3-1 on the year.
Â
AJ Hutcheson came on in relief with two on and no outs in the fifth. He proceeded to strike out the side and retired five of the six batters he faced via strikeouts.
Â
Washington State starter Brock Blatter went 2 1/3 innings, allowing five hits and six runs. He took the loss, dropping to 0-1.
Â
Eight different Beavers recorded at least one hit. Oregon State finished with 11 hits and seven walks while getting hit by six pitches.
Â
The teams conclude the two-game midweek series Tuesday with a 1:05 p.m. PT first pitch at Bailey-Brayton Field. The game can be heard live on the Beaver Sports Network and the Cougars will produce a live stream available on the Mountain West Network.
