CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State women's rowing team crosses the country this week to compete at the Clemson Invitational Saturday and Sunday at Lake Hartwell in Clemson, S.C.
The regatta is composed of three sessions, two on Saturday and one on Sunday. On Saturday, in the morning session, the Beavers first race is scheduled to begin at 5:38 a.m. PT and kickoff afternoon racing at 2:52 p.m. PT. Sunday's races begin at 5:46 a.m. PT.
“This is one of the biggest regattas we go to,” head coach Emily Ford said. “There is great competition and provides a unique opportunity for us to race three times. There is a great deal of significance here because there are teams from every region in the country. We'll be able to see how Oregon State stacks up against the field and we'll also learn more about the strength of the Pac-12.”
Crews from 20 teams will participate at Lake Hartwell including 10 teams ranked in the latest CRCA/USRowing Coaches Poll.
OSU will have three crews in the regatta, the Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8 and the Varsity 4+.
