Beavers Close Regular Season with Civil War

THIS WEEKEND
• The Beavers will close the season this Friday on the road, traveling down I-5 to Oregon for the annual Civil War presented by PacificSource Health Plans, Spirit Mountain Casino, Safeway/Albertsons and Your Local Toyota Dealers.
• The final game will start at 3 p.m., at Papé Field and will be broadcast on Pac-12 Networks with Troy Clardy and Chris Sullivan serving as talent.
A WIN ON FRIDAY WOULD
• Be the 246th in program history.
• Be the Beavers eighth of the season and third away from Paul Lorenz Field.
• Be the Beavers third in Pac-12 Conference play.
• Be the first back-to-back road wins since the 2012 season and first back-to-back Pac-12 road wins since 2011 when the Beavers defeated the Arizona schools.
• Be the Beavers second Pac-12 road victory of the season.
• Be OSU's first win at Oregon since a 3-2 victory in 2010.
• Be the eighth Civil War victory, (20th meeting).
• Be OSU's fourth at Oregon, (10th time).
• Be HC Linus Rhode's fourth over the Ducks, (9th time).
SCOUTING THE DUCKS
• UO enters Friday's match with a 8-9-2 overall mark and 2-7-1 in Pac-12 action.
• The Dusks' first Pac-12 win was 1-0 victory to Arizona, which snapped a seven-match slide and a six-match skid in its Pac-12 schedule.
• Oregon recorded its second conference victory with a 4-0 win over Arizona State.
• Oregon is 2-2-1 in its last five games and 2-7-1 in its last 10.
• The Ducks started the season 6-2-1 in their non-conference schedule, including four shutouts.
• Since starting loop play, UO has struggled, scoring only 11 goals and have been shutout three times.
• UO is 0-4 against ranked teams this season.
• Oregon holds a slight goal advantage, outscoring its opponents 26-25 and holding them to 1.32 goals per match.

• Friday's match will mark the 25th meeting between Oregon State and Oregon and the 20th Civil War match.
• Oregon holds an 8-7-4 record in a rivalry that starting back in 1997, while OSU holds an advantage in the series overall with an 11-9-4 record in a run that started back in 1988.
• The Beavers recorded three-straight losses and a tie to start the Civil War.
• Since the slow start, the Beavers won the next 4-of-5 matches, which included their first victory in 2001 with a 4-1 win in Corvallis.
• The Beavers recorded its first victory in Eugene in 2002 when they upset — then ranked No. 22 — Oregon, 2-1.
• Since the upset, the series has been fairly even with the Ducks holding a one match lead.
