EUGENE, Ore. – KJ Harrison's three-run double in the second inning proved to be the game winner as the Oregon State baseball team defeated Oregon, 4-2, Saturday night at PK Park.

The win evens the series at one game apiece with the finale set for Sunday at 2:05 p.m. PT. OSU improved to 23-10 this season and 6-5 in Pac-12 Conference play. The Ducks dropped to 20-16 overall and 3-8 against conference foes.

Harrison drilled a 2-2 pitch from Oregon starter David Peterson over Phil Craig-St. Louis' head in left to score three and re-take the lead. The Beavers had opened the game's scoring on a fielder's choice by Kyle Nobach but Oregon went up 2-1 in the bottom half of the first on a fielder's choice and a balk.

Drew Rasmussen struggled early but managed to toss a quality start. The freshman worked 6 1/3 innings, scattering three hits and two runs with four strikeouts. The righty got the win to improve to 4-2 on the year.

Mak Fox was sharp in relief of Rasmussen. The sophomore came on with one out in the seventh and closed the game out for his first career save. He did not allow a hit, issued one walk and struck out three to close the door on the Ducks.

OSU rapped out six hits against Peterson and four Oregon relievers. Harrison was the lone Beaver with two hits as he also singled in the fourth inning.

Peterson took the loss to drop to 2-5 on the year. He was chased after 1 2/3 innings of work where he threw 60 pitches. The lefty allowed two hits and four runs with four walks and two strikeouts.

Oregon tallied three hits against Rasmussen and Fox. In two games, and 17 2/3 innings, the Ducks have five.

Oregon State and Oregon conclude the series Sunday afternoon at PK Park.
