June 12, 2026 | Baseball
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State right-handed pitcher Dax Whitney has earned two more First-Team All-America honors. Both Baseball America and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) named him to their first teams on Friday.
It's the third and fourth All-America honors of the postseason for Whitney, who has also been named a first-teamer by Perfect Game and a second-team honoree by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Whitney, from Blackfoot, Idaho, finished the season with a 6-1 record and 2.00 earned run average. He started 11 games, striking out 104 over 63 innings. He held opponents to 42 hits and .185 batting average while posting a 0.95 WHIP.
Whitney is the seventh Beaver since 2021 to earn at least four All-American recognitions in the same season. He joins Cooper Hjerpe (2022), Jacob Melton (2022), Travis Bazzana (2023 and 2024), Bridger Holmes (2024), Aiva Arquette (2025) and Gavin Turley (2025) over that stretch.
