Oregon State is 6-2 for the second consecutive season. It's the Beavers' best start in back-to-back seasons since opening 6-2 in 1983-84 and 7-1 in 1984-85.
Oregon State overcame its biggest deficit (9) of the season for the win. The Beavers trailed by six to both New Mexico State and Montana State before winning those games.
The Beavers had a season-high 56 points in the paint and shot 50.8 percent from the field, the second time they've shot 50 percent or better from the field this season.
Joe Burton had career highs with 10 field goals and 17 field goal attempts. His previous career highs were nine field goals (at Washington on Dec. 29, 2011) and 14 field goals attempted (vs. Stanford on Jan. 7, 2012).
Eric Moreland tied his career high with 14 points. It's the fourth time he's scored 14 points, with the most recent against Grambling State in the last game.
Roberto Nelson tied a career high with six assists and had a career high with five steals. His previous career high was three steals in four games, most recently against Grambling State on Dec. 8.
Devon Collier tied his career high with three steals.
