CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Freshman Ahmad Starks had a career-high 18 points and six assists and four seniors played their final home game in Oregon State's 87-76 loss to California at legendary Gill Coliseum on Saturday.
Seniors Daniel Deane, Calvin Haynes, Omari Johnson and Lathen Wallace all played their final regular season game at Gill Coliseum and were honored during the pregame ceremonies for their contributions to the Beaver basketball program.
Oregon State (10-17, 5-11 Pac-10) tied a season-high with 44 first half points.
Allen Crabbe scored 26 points, Markhuri Sanders-Frison added 16 and California (16-13, 9-8 Pac-10) overcame a first-half double digit deficit for the second straight game.
Crabbe was 8-of-12 from the field for Cal, which has won three in a row.
Starks made 7-of-14 shots and knocked down four three-pointers for his career-high 18 points, while sophomore Jared Cunningham had 14 points and Johnson had 10 points and eight rebounds.
