Oregon State at Washington State
January 6, 2011
Beasley Coliseum
Pullman, Wash.
Team Notes
Oregon State went with the same starting lineup as the past three games with Jared Cunningham, Calvin Haynes, Omari Johnson, Devon Collier and Angus Brandt.
The Beavers committed fewer turnovers (15 to 19) for the 10th time this season and had more steals (12 to 9) for the 12th time this season in 14 games.
The Beavers shot a season-low 33.8% on 23-of-68 shooting. Their previous low was 38.9% (21-54) against Colorado. It's just the second time this season they've shot lower than 40 percent.
Two players scored in double-figures (Cunningham 18, Wallace 12) for the Beavers. It's the third time only two players have scored in double-figures in a game this season and Oregon State is 0-3 when it happens.
Washington State's 42 first-half points is the second most an opponent has scored against the Beavers this season to the 43 by Seattle University.
Player Notes
Sophomore Jared Cunningham scored in double-figures for the eighth consecutive game and the 11th time this season. He's had 16 or more points in five consecutive games.
Cunningham entered the game first in the Pac-10 and fourth in the nation in steals at 3.15 per game and finished with five steals against the Cougars.
Senior Lathen Wallace had 12 points off the bench for his sixth double-figure scoring game of the season and first in the past six games.
Sophomore Joe Burton went 4-of-8 from the field and has made 50 percent of his shots or better in 12 of the 14 games.
