Team Notes
• Oregon State won its Pac-10 opener for the first time since the 2004-05 season when it defeated UCLA, 85-80, on Dec. 31 at Gill Coliseum.
• The 22-point win was its biggest Pac-10 win since the Beavers defeated Arizona State, 88-66, on Jan. 20, 2005 at Gill Coliseum.
• The last time the Beavers won back-to-back games by 20+ points was 2001 when they defeated Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne, 84-59, on Dec. 27, and Lehigh, 78-55, on Dec. 31.
• This is the fifth time the Beavers have scored 80 or more points this season. They scored 80 or more points just one time in 32 games last season.
• Four players scored in double-figures (Burton 17, Cunningham 16, Nelson 12, Starks 12) for the eighth time this season and the Beavers are 6-2 in those games. Oregon State had four players score in double-figures in four of its 32 games last season.
Player Notes
• Sophomore Joe Burton had a career-high 17 points. His previous career-high was 15 points in two games, most recently against Howard on Nov. 27, 2010.
• Sophomore Jared Cunningham extended his streak to 26 consecutive free throws made. The Oregon State record is 34 in a row by Vince Fritz in 1967.
• Cunningham tied career-highs with five rebounds and five assists.
• Freshman Roberto Nelson had a career-high seven rebounds.
• Freshman Ahmad Starks made two three-pointers and has made at least one from behind the arc in nine of the 12 games.
