Team Notes
Oregon State freshmen and sophomores combined to score 65 of the team's 74 points.
The Beavers had a season-low six turnovers. Their previous low was 10 turnovers against Charlotte (11/24).
Oregon State held the Flames to 54 points and 19 first-half points, the lowest totals by an opponent this season. The previous lows were 56 points by UT-Arlington (11/14) and 26 first-half points by Utah Valley (26).
The Beavers also held the Flames to opponent lows of 33.3 percent (19-57) for the game and 26.1 percent (6-of-23) in the first half.
Four Oregon State players scored in double-figures for the seventh time this season and the Beavers are 5-2 when that happens. Oregon State had four players score in double-figures in just four of its 32 games last season.
Player Notes
Sophomore Jared Cunningham had a career-high 22 points after tying his career-high of 21 points in the last game against George Washington.
Cunningham has made 24 consecutive free throws over the past four games. The Oregon State record is 34 in a row by Vince Fritz from Jan. to Feb. 1967.
Cunningham had three steals. He entered the game first in the Pac-10 and sixth in the nation with 3.1 per game.
Senior Omari Johnson tied for the team lead with seven rebounds and has led or tied for the lead in rebounding in nine of the 11 games this season.
Freshman Devon Collier started for the seventh time this season and established career-highs with seven rebounds, three steals and 28 minutes played.
Freshman Roberto Nelson scored in double-figures for the second time in his four-game career and set career-highs with points (14), field goals made (6) and field goals attempted (8).
Freshman Ahmad Starks made a career-high four three-pointers and has made at least one from the behind the arc in eight of the 11 games.
Sophomore Angus Brandt tied a career-high with six rebounds and set career-highs with two blocked shots and two steals.
Senior Calvin Haynes had flu-like symptoms all day but started and had three points.
