OREGON STATE HEAD COACH Craig Robinson
“I think the George Washington game was a good game, and tonight's game was better than that one. Tonight was really good. I couldn't be happier with the way we played this game. The final point spread doesn't really show how well we were playing defense. Our guys did everything we asked. We wanted them to be tough and aggressive on defense and to execute on offense and we managed to do that.”
OREGON STATE JUNIOR Calvin Haynes
On the production from a lot of players…
“Seth (Tarver) played well, Lathen (Wallace) played well, the team played well. We've been waiting to put it together and tonight looked good. It's good to see Lathen play well, we expect a lot out of him, we expect a lot out of each other. He's been playing aggressive.“
On his quality of play the last three games…
“I'm getting back to my groove, getting a lot of extra shots up in practice. I talked to my Dad before the game and he had some good pointers. He said 'It's time to go, right now. I need to get something out of you!' It was kind of funny, but it helped.”
On the reduction of turnovers tonight…
“At the end of last year we were not turning the ball over much. We've got to work on that. If we don't turn the ball over and we execute, we are tough to beat.”
FRESNO STATE HEAD COACH STEVE CLEVELAND
“We got beat on the dribble tonight. We're a step slow. We haven't had those issues against anybody. We had dead feet, and (the Beavers) really took advantage of it. They really hurt us with penetration in the first half.”
