
Beavers Battle Washington in Vancouver, Ore.

VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Oregon State men's rowing team completed competition vs. Washington Saturday afternoon in Vancouver, Wash.
"It was a solid day on Vancouver Lake," said Oregon State lead coach Galen Bernick. "It was great to see how we stack up against Washington. A few learning moments to learn from so we can be stronger moving forward. Thanks to Washington for coming out and racing!"
After a two-hour delay, racing began with the eights race, featuring three boats from each school. Washington claimed the top three places, with the Oregon State Varsity eight coming in fourth with a time of 6:02.09. The Beaver 2V8 finished in 6:08.36, while the OSU 3V8 stopped the clock in 6:13.79.
The fours races followed, with Washington claiming the first three spots in the first wave. The Oregon State A boat led the Beaver back with a time of 6:34.74. In the second wave, the Oregon State A boat placed third with a time of 6:43.81.
The Beavers will return to Vancouver Lake next Saturday to take on Gonzaga.
