- Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic selection
- Competed in all eight Oregon State events, each of them as part the the Varsity 8
- Helped Oregon State's Varsity 8 finish 22nd at the IRA National Championships
- Was part of the Beaver Varsity 8 that beat UC San Diego and San Diego to open the season
- Helped the Oregon State V8 beat UC San Diego at Redwood Shores II
JUNIOR (2024-25):
- Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic selection
- Empacher-IRCA Scholar Athlete
- Competed in all seven spring regattas, splitting time between the first and second eight
- Won a race with the 1V8 at the Redwood Shores Invitational II, twice finishing in second place
- Moved to the 2V8 and was victorious again in a dominant performance on the road against Gonzaga, UC San Diego and Stanta Clara, where four out of five Beaver boats won
- Added a win over Holy Cross in Philadelphia, Pa., on May 2
- Competed with the second eight in the Grand Final at the MPSF Championship, helping the Beavs finish in third place overall with 47 points, five points ahead of Stanford
- Raced in the IRA National Championship Regatta, where OSU placed 21st in the country
SOPHOMORE (2023-24):
- Raced with the Varsity 8 boat to begin the season before spending the majority of the year with the 2V8
- Helped the second boat beat Holy Cross to pave the way for a spot at IRAs
- Keyed the 3V8's 16th-place performance at IRAs
- As a freshman, earned a spot on the 2V8 boat for most of the year
- Raced six times on the 2V8, including helping the team place third in the Pac-12
- Made two nationals appearances with the Olympia Area Rowing club
- Won the 4x u-19 regional championship
- Son of Melissa and Chris Burtner
- Has two siblings: Cate and Abby
- Intends to major in biophysics
- Enjoys biking, research and art
