Beavers Finish Season at IRA Championships

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. – The Oregon State men's rowing team completed its season at the IRA Championships, contested Friday through Sunday at Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, Calif. Overall the Beavers placed 22nd in the Ten Eyck Trophy standings.
The Oregon State Varsity 8 finished 22nd overall. The Beaver boat concluded the weekend by taking fourth in the D Final Sunday morning, posting a time of 6:03.1. The OSU Varsity 8 clocked a 6:05.3 to take fifth in Saturday's CD Semifinal, and opened the weekend with a time of 6:08.9 in its first heat – good for sixth.
Oregon State's 2V8 placed 23rd in the field. The boat took fifth in the D Final at 6:11.9, after also taking fifth in Saturday's CD Semifinal (6:21.1). The Beaver 2V8 claimed sixth in Friday's heat, clocking a time of 6:13.5.
Oregon State's 3V8 finished 20th overall. It finished second in Sunday's D Final, coming in with a time of 6:10.2. The Beaver boat took fourth in the Saturday's CD Semifinal (6:21.9) and fifth in Friday's opening heat (6:13.7).
Washington finished first in the Varsity 8 and claimed the Ten Eyck Trophy. Princeton and Harvard finished second and third in the overall standings.
The weekend's racing concludes the spring season for collegiate rowing.
