
Three Beaver Boats Win Races vs. Gonzaga

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Oregon State boats won three out of the four races Saturday afternoon, as the Beavers took on Gonzaga in Vancouver, Wash.
"We found some success today that we can be proud of and we have some work to do to get all boats ahead" said Oregon State lead coach Galen Bernick. "Thank you to the Zags for coming down."
Oregon State started out its day by besting the Bulldogs in the 2V8 race, with the Beaver boat finishing in 6:02.31 – nearly four seconds ahead of Gonzaga. The OSU Varsity 8 finished second to the Zags in its race, clocking a time of 5:57.70.
The Beavers rounded out the day by winning their final two races. The OSU 3V8 topped Gonzaga, coming in with a time of 6:08.10. The Oregon State 4V8 also claimed victory, finishing in 6:21.70.
The Beavers will head across the country in two weeks, as they will open the month of May by taking on Holy Cross, Penn and Yale May 2-3.
