Beavers Win Sixth Straight, Knock Off Cougs in Pullman
January 08, 2026 | Women's Basketball
PULLMAN, Wash. – Tiara Bolden scored 24 points, one shy of her career high, and Oregon State remained the only undefeated team in West Coast Conference play with a 78-64 victory over Washington State on Thursday night at Beasley Coliseum.
Â
Oregon State (12-5, 4-0 WCC) extended its winning streak to six games behind Bolden's efficient 11-of-16 shooting performance. Jenna Villa added 17 points in her return to Pullman and added four rebounds.
Â
The Beavers shot 51 percent from the floor and held WSU under 40 percent shooting until a late hot stretch for the Cougs moved them to 43 percent. Oregon State took excellent care of the basketball, turning it over only five times while cashing in 15 points on 11 Wazzu giveaways.
Â
The Beavs seized control early, building a 24-12 lead after the first quarter, getting 10 from Bolden on a steady diet of mid-range jumpers. Villa added five and Keira Lindemans scored four points in the opening period.
Â
The Beavers maintained their advantage throughout, extending the margin to 42-23 at halftime. OSU pushed the lead to as many as 25 points in the third quarter before Washington State mounted a late rally in the fourth.
Â
Kennedie Shuler contributed 10 points and seven assists for the Beavers, while Nene Sow added nine points and seven rebounds. Shuler added three steals and a block defensively in another performance that stuffed the stat sheet.
Â
The Beavers held WSU's Alex Covill, fresh off a 26-point performance against Seattle U to six points on 3-of-11 shooting. OSU also kept the Cougs off the stripe, where they managed just two free throws.
Â
Oregon State returns home to battle Seattle U on Saturday at 1 p.m.
