Weekend in the City of Angels Up Next For WBB
January 14, 2026 | Women's Basketball
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State women's basketball hits the road once again this week, looking to extend their seven-game winning streak in the Los Angeles-area against LMU and Pepperdine.
The Beavers battle a dangerous Lions team that already has a win over second-place Santa Clara before taking on a Waves team that opened the season with one of the best stretches of basketball in school history.
LMU is led by Jess Lawson (15.3 ppg, 7.7 rpg) and Maya Hernandez (15.1 ppg, 5.8 rpg), who combine to form a strong guard-post duo. Pepperdine's leading scorer is Ellison Guiney, who averaged 13.9 points per game with 38.4 percent shooting from three.

STARTING FIVE
- Oregon State won its seventh straight game, fifth straight conference game and third by double-digits on Saturday, dominating Seattle U 68-38 in Gill Coliseum
- The Beavers held the Redhawks to 11 second-half and four fourth-quarter points, the fewest opponent points in a half and points in a quarter in at least two years
- Kennedie Shuler was a force to be reckoned with on both ends, posting 18 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals. She is one of three players in the country to post that line or better in a game and the only one to shoot better than 50% from the field.
- Lara Alonso-Basurto and Néné Sow did an excellent job making sure the Redhawks went one-and-done, grabbing 10 rebounds apiece in 34 combined minutes at the 5
- Jenna Villa scored 19 points, her 8th straight game in double figures and 14th in the last 15 games (18 ppg, 46% FG, 37.8% 3PT, 4.9 rpg over that stretch)
