Men’s Rowing Back in Action at Portland Fall Classic
October 25, 2024 | Men's Rowing
VANCOUVER, Wash. – Oregon State men's rowing continues its fall schedule on Sunday, remaining in the Northwest to compete in the 2024 Portland Fall Classic on Vancouver Lake.
The Beavers have a fun race ahead of them in Vancouver, racing eights, fours and pairs alike, which also includes a class race that will see the seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshmen match up for bragging rights. Action begins at 9 a.m. and live results, along with additional information about the regatta, can be found at RegattaCentral.com.
OSU was last in action on Sunday, placing 10th in the men's championship fours at the Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday, which came one day after the alumni eights secured their place in the 2025 event.
Coxswain Lidya Acar earned praise for her "strong Boston Line" as the Beavers finished the 3.1-mile course in 16:28.630, close behind Brown's A boat (16:23.505) and Gialle Fiamme A (16:21.554) while beating out San Diego RC A (16:28.630). Acar was in the boat along with Jackson Mastrorilli, Jake Edelstein, Isaac Beaman and Miles Cochran.
The fall schedule continues next weekend, as OSU heads north to Seattle, Wash., to compete in the Head of the Lake.
