Oregon State Travels to Boston for Head of the Charles Regatta
October 17, 2024 | Men's Rowing
BOSTON, Mass. – Oregon State men's rowing is in action for the first time in the 2024-25 academic year on Sunday, taking their talents to the east coast to compete in the 2024 Head of the Charles Regatta.
With over 12,000 competitors from around the world competing in 73 events across the three-day event, OSU returns for the eighth time in one of the top categories.
The Beavers are set to compete in the Men's Championship 4+ slated for 12:40 PM EST (9:40 AM PST). They are bow number 10 for this event.
Information about the regatta itself is located at HOCR.org and live results can be found here. Watch the livestream using this link: HOCR Livestream
OSU was last in action on June 2, competing in the 2024 IRA National Championships, placing 20th as a team.
14 members of that squad have since graduated, but the Beavers return a number of key contributors: Isaac Beaman, Miles Cochran, Jake Edelstein and Jackson Mastorilli were all in the varsity eight during the IRAs. These four, along with returning varsity coxswain, Lidya Acar, will take on the challenge of the 3.1-mile course on Sunday.
Oregon State men's rowing will return to action next Sunday, competing in the Portland Fall Classic in Vancouver, Wash.
