Oregon State Drops Series Finale

LOS ANGELES --Â Third-ranked UCLA defeated Oregon State by a 6-0 margin on Saturday to conclude the three-game set.
Madyson Clark and Grace Messmer led the Beavers (11-23-1, 2-12-1 Pac-12) with a pair of hits while Kaiea Higa tallied a single.
With the two hits, Messmer has made it safely on base in the last four games, in 11 of 12 and had her fourth multi-hit game in league play. The infielder from Cloverdale, B.C., notched a pair of multi-hit games in three of the four league series.
The Bruins plated their runs in the first, third and fourth frames to build their lead.
Tarni Stepto (4-11-1) was charged with the loss. She fanned six but gave up all six runs on seven hits and a pair of walks.
Oregon State will head back home for a series against Washington this upcoming weekend. First pitch against the Huskies is set for 6 p.m. on Friday, April 14.
