Last Game
Trent Sellers struck out eight batters in 4 2/3 innings but OSU was unable to overcome two Oregon runs in the fifth inning in a 2-0 loss Friday in the series opener. Sellers and relievers Ben Ferrer and Aiden Jimenez combined for 11 strikeouts, scattering seven hits and two runs. Mason Guerra singled in the seventh and Dallas Macias doubled in the seventh as Oregon State was limited to two hits in the loss.

Oregon State Notes
• Occurring due to Thursday's rainout, the Beavers are now slated to play on five consecutive days as OSU takes on Gonzaga Monday and Tuesday after visiting Oregon. The Beavers last played five games in as many days in 2018 when hosting Stanford and San Diego at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.
• Sunday's game against Oregon will no longer be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network. It can be seen via a live stream produced by Oregon.
• Dallas Macias' double Friday was the first of his career. It was his second extra-base hit, following a triple against Nevada on March 15.
• Macias has hit safely in three straight, and is 3-for-8 during the streak.
• Oregon State's pitching staff, during the team's five-game road trip, has struck out 56 batters in 43 innings. The staff has limited opponents to 38 hits and 18 runs while walking 14. The team's earned run average over that stretch is 2.93.
• Overall, the Beavers spot a 3.37 ERA this season, trailing only UCLA's 3.16 in the Pac-12 stats report. OSU also lowered its team ERA to 3.78 in Pac-12 play, good for third trailing USC (3.20) and UCLA (3.74).
• Oregon State and Oregon have combined for 30 runs over the last six matchups played at PK Park, an average of five per game.
• Oregon State was shut out for the first time this season on Friday. It was the first shutout against since April 1, 2022 against Stanford, a 1-0 loss.
• Jacob Kmatz, Saturday's probable starter, has one career appearance against Oregon, allowing five hits and three runs with four strikeouts in three innings last season. He did not get a decision in the start.
• Oregon State is 14-1 when out-hitting an opponent this season, but 3-10 when an opponent has more hits.
