Beavs Drop Friday Tilt

LOS ANGELES -- Oregon State fell to third-ranked UCLA by an 11-0 margin on Friday evening.
The Beavers (11-22-1, 2-12-1 Pac-12) threatened early from a Grace Messmer single and a Frankie Hammoude walk in the first but neither could come home.
UCLA plated their runs across the second, third and fourth frames to build up their advantage.
Ellie Garcia (3-7) was charged with the loss. The Chino, California, native allowed 10 runs in 2.1 innings tossed, 11 hits, a walk and struck out one. Chloe Moffitt entered in relief for Garcia in the third and pitched 1.2 innings. The junior allowed a run, a walk and a pair of hits.
The three-game set will wrap up tomorrow with a 1 p.m. first pitch from Easton Stadium and can be seen on the Pac-12 Network.
