Beavers to Host Gonzaga Saturday at Dexter
March 18, 2022 | Men's Rowing
Racing to begin at 9:30 a.m.
CORVALLIS – The Oregon State men's rowing team will be at Dexter Lake on Saturday, as the Beavers host Gonzaga in their first dual of the spring.
"This is a pretty good rivalry that we have had for a long time with the 'Zags," said Oregon State head coach Gabe Winkler. "This is an important dual where it is just racing in its purest form: two boats, no restrictions, trying to get from the start buoy to the finish line the fastest. One race per boat class. The speeds have been very good this week (along with the guys receiving high marks on their finals at the same time) and I think this is going to be another fun race."
Racing is slated to begin at 9:30 a.m. with the Varsity 8. Action will continue with the JV 8 and 3V/4V races.
