• Oregon State (8-5, 2-0 Pac-12) is back in Gill Coliseum for the second week of the conference season.
• OSU hosts No. 19 California (11-1, 11) Friday at 6 p.m. then comes back on Saturday to host No. 3 Stanford (7-3, 1-1) at 6 p.m.
PROMOTIONS
• Friday's game promotion is Disco Night. 70's music will help set the theme throughout the match which will feature dance and costume contests ... Friday is also Boy Scout Night.
• Saturday's match is Social Media Night. Fans who post on social media from the match will be featured on the videoboards. In addition, the first 100 fans through the Gill Coliseum doors will receive a Beaver pop socket ... The game against the Cardinal is also Girl Scout Night.
• In addition, Friday home volleyball matches are Faculty/Staff Friday games. Oregon State faculty and staff can purchase tickets for $5 with a valid OSU ID.
• 2019 volleyball summer camp participants also receive free admission to every 2019 volleyball match if they show up wearing their official camper t-shirt.

AGAINST THE GOLDEN BEARS
• The Beavers trail the all-time series with the Bears 25-49. OSU swept Cal twice in 2017, while the Bears returned the favor in 2018.
AGAINST THE CARDINAL
• Oregon State will be seeking its first ever win over Stanford on Saturday. The Cardinal lead the series 68-0.
LAST WEEK
• The Beavers went 2-0 last week to open the Pac-12 Conference season. It is the first time Oregon State has opened the conference slate 2-0 since 2004.
• Reinforcements arrived for the start of the conference season in the form of Chloe Brown and Amy Underdown. Both returned from injury after suffering injuries during the Hoosier Invite in Week 2.
• Haylie Bennett paced the offensive recording a team-high 16 kills in each of the Beavers' wins last week.
• Maddie Sheehan registered five aces over the weekend recording a hat trick against the Ducks.
• Maddie Goings (13 kills, 11 digs) and Chloe Brown (12 kills, 12 digs) each notched double-doubles in the Colorado win.
• Senior defensive specialist Makenna Browne suffered a season-ending knee injury making a play in the Civil War win over Oregon (9/26).
DIGGING THROUGH THE RECORD BOOKS
• Early in the preseason, junior libero Grace Massey moved into OSU's Top 10 in history. She has since moved up to eighth in OSU history with 1,219. She needs 11 digs to tie Miya Malauulu (1994-97) for seventh and 22 to tie Kristy Wing (1988-91) for sixth.
• Massey, who entered the season with 993 digs, became the 16th player in OSU history to amass 1,000 career digs during the first match of the season, against UC Irvine at the Oregon Classic.
• Junior outside hitter Maddie Goings has also moved into the Beavers' top 30 with 728 career digs, 26th in school history
SETTING THE OFFENSE
• Sophomore setter Maddie Sheehan became the 13th player in school history to register 1,000 career assists.
• Sheehan moved into 12th place all-time at OSU and currently has 1,397 career assists. Last week, Sheehan moved past McKenna Hollingsworth and Christine Wilson and is currently 10th in OSU history.
• Senior setter Montanna Gubrud, who transferred into the program in 2018, set an OSU career-high with 33 assists in the Beavers' win over Yale at the Hoosier Invite.
GOINGS IS KILLING IT
• Junior Maddie Goings, who moved to the right side to begin the season, leads the team with 3.31 kills per set (129 total).
• Goings registered 56 kills at the Hoosier Invite for a 4.67 k/s clip en route to earning all-tournament honors.
• Goings now has 843 kills in her career which ranks 21st in OSU history.
CHESHIRE HAS NUMBERS TOO
• Senior middle blocker Kory Cheshire is moving up the Beavers' career blocks lists this fall.
• Cheshire currently has 263 total blocks in her career ranking 15th in OSU history.
• In addition, Cheshire has 213 block assists to rank 18th
• And she is up to 50 career solo blocks to rank 20th in school history.
CLARKE COMES THROUGH IN CLUTCH
• Redshirt senior Shekinah Clarke was called upon for the first time in 2019 at the Redhawk Invitational when the Beavers were decimated by injuries. Clarke came through with a team-leading, and career-high, 15 kills in her first start against New Mexico to lead the squad to a come from behind five-set win.
• Clarke went on to tally another 19 kills in the next two matches helping the Beavers to a 3-0 record over the weekend (9/13-14).
• Was named to the Redhawk Invitational All-Tournament Team.
• Last week, Clarke was forced into a defensive specilist-type role due to injury. She posted a career-best 13 digs in the win over Colorado (9/27).
• In an unrelated note, Clarke's brother, Onesimus, made his first career start at left guard over the same weekend for the Beavers' football team -- a win over Cal Poly that Saturday (9/14).
ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAMS
• Oregon Classic - New starting outside hitters Chloe Brown and Cecilee Max-Brown were named ot the Oregon Classic All-Tournament Team in their OSU debuts. Brown led the Beavers with 12 and 13 kills respectively and registered the first double-double of her career.
• Hoosier Invite - Maddie Goings set a career-high with 26 kills against Oklahoma and totaled 56 in the Beavers' trip to Indiana. Goings was named to the all-tournament team.
• Redhawk Invitational - Kory Cheshire garnered MVP honors and Shekinah Clarke earned an all-tournament nod as the Beavers swept the competition. Cheshire set a career-high with 17 kills against Gonzaga and 23 digs against New Mexico, while Clarke registered a career-high 15 kills against the Lobos.
