Oregon State falls to Arizona

Arizona takes a 3-0 win.
CORVALLIS – Oregon State women's soccer team kept the Wildcats scoreless in the first half but eventually fell to Arizona, 3-0, on Thursday night at Paul Lorenz Field.
The Beavers held Arizona scoreless in the first half of play through the efforts of Oregon State's defense who blocked five shots throughout the first half to combine with Lindsay LaMont's two saves.
Taylor Lemmond recorded her first shot in the 32nd minute off a free kick that went wide. She took another in the 37th minute that missed the top of the goal.
Oregon State and Arizona went into the half scoreless.
Arizona started the second half off with two quick goals to take a 2-0 lead.
McKenzie Weinert, Helena Brown, Diana Santiago and Lemmond made attempts to put the Beavers on the board, but could never find the back of the net.
Arizona would score one more time to secure their 3-0 win.
Oregon State returns to action at Lorenz Field on Sunday morning at 11 a.m. against Arizona State for Senior Day.
