Sam Gaviglio's victory was his 12th of the season, tying Mike Stutes (2007) and Dallas Buck (2005) for the fourth-most in a season at Oregon State.
Gaviglio also finished with 11 strikeouts, which gives him 113, placing eighth in single-season history. He also has 213 strikeouts for his career, good for 10. The 11-strikeout game was the sixth of his career in double figures.
Gaviglio's win was also the 25th of his career, placing him in a tie for eighth in team history with Scott Anderson (1981-84). Gaviglio's win percentage is .781, which is third, behind only Daniel Turpen (2005-07, .933, 14-1) and Leon Criner (1959-61, .917, 11-1).

Garrett Nash homered for the second consecutive game, becoming the first Beaver to do so since Parker Berberet vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Feb. 26) and Indiana (Feb. 27) this season.
Creighton Post-Game Notes
This was just the third meeting between Creighton and Oregon State, with the first two taking place in 1996 in Fresno, Calif.
This was the first run allowed by Ty Blach in the first inning since May 6, 2011, and the first allowed by Creighton in the first inning of any game since May 8, 2011 vs. Wichita State.
The Beavers put the lead-off runner on in the first two innings, both of which scored runs. In the opener against Georgia, the Jays only allowed the lead-off batter to get on once, in the fourth inning, but stranded the runner on a strike out and ground out to the left side.
Creighton had committed just four errors in their last 10 games, going 9-1 over that stretch. In the game on Saturday night, Creighton's first inning error led to the first run of the game.
Mike Gerber's home run was Creighton's first round-tripper since Michael Mutcheson homered vs. Bradley on May 25th in Creighton's first MVC Tournament game.
Scott Thornburg's two passed balls tied a Creighton postseason record for one game, and matched his season total entering the contest.
Georgia eliminated Arkansas-Little Rock (24-34), 7-3, in the first game on Saturday in Corvallis.
Ty Blach recorded at least seven strikeouts for the seventh time in 18 starts.
The homer by Garrett Nash was the first allowed by Creighton pitching since May 6th, when Tyler Grimes from Wichita State homered. Creighton had thrown 165.2 innings, spanning 598 at-bats and 692 plate appearances in between homers surrendered.
Creighton will look to duplicate its MVC Tournament title run, where it won its first game, lost its second game, and won four more games through the loser's bracket to take the title.
Ed Servais was denied in his first try for his 300th victory as head coach at Creighton.
The run allowed by Kurt Spomer in the ninth was the first against the Bluejay closer since May 7th.
