"We really competed hard against [Stanford]," head coach Taras Liskevych said. "But, we kind of let our focus go in the fourth set. We were ahead 7-3, and we really just let them get back into that set. on some untimely errors on our side of the net.
We attacked well throughout the match, other than in that fourth set. And Corinna Mommert had a really good performance off the bench, coming in as an outside hitter and had a really good serving match. Also, Dre Shaw hit really well today. Now we've just got to be ready for the Ducks on Tuesday."
Freshman Arica Nassar (Menifee, Calif.) backed up Shaw with her 11 kills effort, also recording four blocks - two solo.
Defensively, sophomore Becky Defoe (Bend, Ore.) led four players with double-figure digs numbers with a match-high 19, while junior Megan McBride (Auburn, Wash.) posted a double-double effort with 36 assists and 17 digs.
