Oregon State vs. Texas
TicketCity Legends Classic Championship Round

Head Coach Craig Robinson
"Well, most of you guys don't know us, but when I started the season this year I said I like this team. I like this team. And now you can see why. This is a tough group of kids. They just kept fighting, just kept fighting, and didn't give up. We were in foul trouble and couldn't make free shots in the first half and we just kept fighting. They do this day in and day out. What you saw was the result of what these guys do every day in practice.
"To beat a team like Texas first and foremost, is a terrific win for our program. Getting 100 on them was even more spectacular; that probably surprised me more than anything. All of the way down the line, every single one of our players, even the guys who didn't get in, contributed to this win."
On the play of Jared Cunningham at the end of regulation...
"Jared has evolved as a player since I saw him when he was a sophomore (in high school) and I was at Brown and trying to recruit him before he blew up. He has just come a long way. The reason is because he is extremely receptive to coaching. He wants to get better and what you saw out there was a culmination of his hard work. We get to see it all the time out west. He does everything for us. He guards the best guy. He scores points. He makes assists. He makes his foul shots. The magnitude of what he had to do today, on this stage and in this tournament against this team, is big time. And it's getting to be a regular thing with Jared."
On the shot Jared took to his mouth in overtime...
"Jared is a handsome guy and he's always worried about his looks so I was more worried about that. I wasn't worried about him coming out of the game. He is a warrior. He looks slight but he is wiry strong and he's a huge competitor so he wasn't coming out of the game."

On the team's performance
"I'm very proud of the team. They stepped up in the end and we played a hard game from the start to the end. This win means a lot to us. We need to come out the next game and be prepared for the next team. But at the beginning of the day, we came ready to play."
On his lip...
"The trainer (Tom Fregoso) put something on there but I might need to get stitches but I'll be fine."
