Troy Gann enters his second season as a the rigger/boatman for the Oregon State women's rowing team. He is responsible for maintaining the team's equipment and the boathouse as well as the transportation of boats and equipment to events.
Although this position is a first for the OSU alum he is no stranger to the OSU rowing program, having served as a volunteer assistant coach from 2004-06 for the men’s rowing team. In addition, Gann rowed for the Beavers 2001-03 before an injury during his sophomore year forced him into coaching.
In between his stints on the docks of the Willamette River, Gann was an assistant coach for the Yale heavyweight rowing team from 2003-04.
Gann graduated from Oregon State with a degree in business with a minor in biology in 2003. He currently lives in Corvallis with his wife Amanda, who is also an OSU graduate.
