Ashley Vaughn (née Shearer) is in her fifth season as director of operations for the Oregon State women’s basketball program. Her duties include monitoring the program budget, scheduling and team travel in addition to event planning and assisting with Oregon State Women’s Basketball Camps.
Vaughn came to Oregon State after serving as the Capital Campaign Assistant in the development office at Gonzaga Preparatory School in Spokane, Wash.
A versatile athlete for Gonzaga, she competed as a member of the basketball team during her first two years before joining the women’s golf team as a junior. Vaughn also excelled in the classroom, was named to both the President’s and Dean’s Lists and was a member of the Political Science Honor Society.
A native of Gresham, Ore. and graduate of Barlow High School, Vaughn earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from Gonzaga in 2006, adding a Juris Doctor in 2009 from the Gonzaga School of Law.
Vaughn earned three varsity letters in golf at Barlow and four as a standout basketball player for the Bruins. As a senior, she averaged 17.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 4.0 steals per game to earn Mt. Hood Conference Player of the Year honors.
Vaughn and her husband Greg, the video operations director for Oregon State football, married in May 2014.
