Izzy Batayola

Izzy Batayola was named Associate Director of Olympic Sports Performance for Oregon State Athletics in December of 2020.

In this role, she is directly responsible for designing and implementing the strength and conditioning programs for Women's Volleyball, Softball, Women's Golf, and the Track and Field Cross Country & Distance Teams.

Other responsibilities include administrative roles within the Sports Performance Department and involvement in interdisciplinary committees within the Athletic Department that advocate for the holistic well-being of OSU’s student-athletes, including the Student-Athlete Welfare Committee and the Diversity and Inclusion Working Group.Â

Batayola spent the previous five years as the Assistant Sports Performance Coordinator for Oregon State Athletics, working with Women’s Basketball, Women’s Soccer, Women’s Golf, as well as Throwers for the Track and Field program.
Â
Prior to her full-time appointment at Oregon State in 2015, Batayola started in the Sports Performance Center as an intern working with Men’s and Women’s Golf, Football, Women’s Rowing, Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Gymnastics programs. She was also appointed the position of Assistant Coach for the Oregon State Sports Performance Camp.

Batayola is an avid weightlifter and competes in meets sanctioned by the USAW. In 2015 she qualified and competed at the University Nationals Championships hosted by Weber State University where she finished 11th.

She is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a member of the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association as a Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC), a member of USA Weightlifting, and The Titleist Performance Institute (TPI Fitness-2).

Batayola earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University and was a four-year letterwinner for the Beaver softball team under head coaches Kirk Walker and Laura Berg.

She and her husband, Brett, reside in Corvallis.
