Connor Mendez scattered two hits and a run in 6 1/3 innings and Josh Proctor and Adam Haight both drove in three runs to lead Oregon State to an 8-3 win over Portland Tuesday night in Corvallis. Mendez worked a season-long 6 1/3 innings, retiring 16 straight at one point, while getting backed by the Oregon State offense that finished with 11 hits and built an 8-0 lead after six innings.
