Oregon State Hosts Pacific at Kelly Field
April 08, 2026 | Softball
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State softball is back at home for a weekend series, hosting Pacific at Kelly Field. The action begins with a Friday doubleheader and is scheduled to conclude with a 2 p.m. game Saturday.
Game one: April 10, 2026 / 3 p.m. PT / Watch (ESPN+) / Live Stats
Game two: April 10, 2026 / 5:30 p.m. PT / Watch (ESPN+) / Live Stats
Game three: April 11, 2026 / 2 p.m. PT / Watch (ESPN+) / Live Stats
WEEKEND (WEIR)IOR:
Madison Weir had a tremendous series last weekend against the Broncos, hitting 5-8 (.625) across three games, notching one extra-base hit and driving in two runs while walking once and finishing the weekend with an on base percentage of .667. The Wayne, N.J., native has been a staple in the OSU lineup this season, starting 23 of 25 appearances, and enters this weekend's series with six doubles and 11 RBI.
GOODBYE!:
Lici Campbell hit her third home run of the season in game three against SCU, crushing a grand slam over the wall in left during a first inning that was the difference in a 4-0 Oregon State victory. Sunday's home run was her third on the season and first since smashing a three-run home run against then-ranked No. 18 Oregon on March 4. A redshirt year senior from Vallejo, Calif., Campbell is now up to 19 home runs in her collegiate career and within one of her season total in 2025.
SHUTOUT:
After Campbell's blast in the top of the first, Bailey Murray went to work against the Broncos and tossed one of her best games of the season, going the distance and allowing just three hits while striking out a season-best six Bronco batters. Still in just her first season of college softball, Murray enters this weekend's series with Pacific as the team's leader in innings pitched (81.1), pitching appearances (31), complete games (three) and saves (two).
DRIVE 'EM IN:
As good as Jaeya Butler has been in 2026, her numbers improve when her teammates are on base and are even better when those baserunners are in scoring position. A .377 hitter this season, she's 36-80 (.450) with runners on and 2-6 (.333) with the bases loaded. When runners are in scoring position, however, that average increases even more to an astounding .537 on 41 total opportunities thanks to 22 hits.
Having tied the program's single season home run record in game one last weekend, Butler is now at 17 home runs and 44 RBI this season, also adding 13 doubles, one triple and slugging .855 across 40 starts in 2026.
LOVING THE LEADOFF SPOT:
It's no coincidence that Jada Lewis has hit in the leadoff spot 33 times out of Oregon State's 40 total games. Entering this weekend's series with a .365 season average, the Vallejo, Calif., native sees her average improve by over 100 points when entering the box as the first hitter in a game or inning, currently hitting .474. Among OSU hitters with at least 10 leadoff ABs, only Camrynn Gordon (12-19, .632) and Mya Harrison (14-27, .519) have a better average, though Lewis' 57 at-bats paces the team by a wide margin.
300 CLUB:
Lewis (.383) and Morgan Howey (.325) were the only Beavers to finish the 2025 season with a batting average north of .300. Through 40 games in 2026, the total number of .300 or better hitters is six. Led by Butler (.377) and Lewis (.365), Gordon (.333), Harrison (.326), Genevieve Beacom (.313) and Paige Bambarger (.311) are all above that line, while Howey's .296 average is a close seventh.
FOURTEEN:
Head Coach Laura Berg is now in year 14 leading Beaver softball in 2026, the second longest tenured head coach in program history. Only Kirk Walker (1995-2012; 18 seasons) has spent more time at the helm of the program. Of the eight head coaches in program history, Berg ranks second behind Walker for career victories, while her conference winning percentage is the top mark.
BACK THE PAC:
After two seasons as affiliate members of the WCC, the Beavers will return to the Pac-12 following the 2026 season. Though Washington State and Gonzaga don't have softball programs, the Beavs will resume Pac-12 play with Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, San Diego State, Texas State and Utah State. New members will officially join July 1, 2026.
UP NEXT:
Oregon State has a doubleheader at Portland State next week before traveling to Moraga, Calif., for a three game series at Saint Mary's scheduled for April 17-19. The Beavers return to Kelly Field for the final home series of the season against Seattle U one week later, with games scheduled for April 24-26.
