Rasmussen Signs with Beavers
April 22, 2026 | Men's Basketball
CORVALLIS – Forward Jackson Rasmussen has signed with the Oregon State men's basketball team, head coach Justin Joyner announced Wednesday.
Rasmussen will join the Beavers as a sophomore, after spending his freshman campaign at Idaho.
Jackson Rasmussen
Forward
6-foot-9
Sophomore
Meridian, Idaho
Rasmussen was named the Big Sky Freshman of the Year last season, after averaging 13.6 points per game. The forward shot 48.6 percent from the floor and scored in double-figures 24 times on the season, including a stretch of nine-straight games with 10-or-more points in the latter phase of conference play. Rasmussen scored 20+ points on five occasions, and put up a season-high 29 at Northern Colorado. He started all 35 of the Vandals games, helping Idaho win the Big Sky Tournament and make the NCAA Tournament.
"We are incredibly excited about Jackson's future here in Corvallis," Joyner said. "Jackson is a highly productive offensive player who has consistently shown the ability to impact the game on that end of the floor. His feel for scoring and confidence as a shooter make him an exciting addition to our program.
"Jackson has demonstrated his ability to produce, and we believe he is just scratching the surface of what he can become. His toughness combined with his work ethic and competitive nature, gives him a chance to develop into a major weapon for us. Rass' offensive skill set and potential to grow into an elite shooter align perfectly with the style of play and culture we are building."
Rasmussen was the No. 1 rated high school prospect in the state of Idaho in the 2025 recruiting class, and was the No. 52 rated power forward in the nation. He led his team to state titles in 2022 and 2024, and earned First Team All-State honors.
