Jacob Galloway Named To Buster Posey Award Midseason Watch List

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State senior Jacob Galloway is one of 50 players on the midseason Buster Posey Award watch list, which was announced on Wednesday. The honor is given annually to the nation's top collegiate catcher.
The Oregon State backstop has started in 25 of the Beavers' 27 games this season. He's batting .299 with eight doubles, eight runs batted in and 11 walks. He has also been hit by a pitch 10 times, which is four shy of equaling the Oregon State single-season record.
Defensively, Galloway has a .994 fielding percentage, committing just two errors in 337 chances.
Galloway is looking to become the second Beaver all-time to earn the honor, following Adley Rutschman in 2019.
