Beavers Head to WCC Tournament as 4-Seed
March 06, 2026 | Women's Basketball
LAS VEGAS – It's March and Oregon State finds itself in a familiar spot as the fourth seed in the WCC Tournament, set to play one of Portland, Pacific or Washington State
In last year's tournament, the #4-seed Beavers knocked off #5 USF, #1 Gonzaga and #2 Portland to win the title after splitting the season series with all three. OSU will look to repeat that feat this season, needing three wins in three days to take the title.
GAME INFO – Quarterfinals
Opponent: #5 Portland, #8 Pacific (Calif.) or #9 Washington State
Day: Sunday, March 8
Time: 11:30 a.m.
Location: Orleans Arena (Las Vegas, Nev.)
Watch: ESPN+
Listen: Beaver Sports Radio Network

NUMBERS TO KNOW
1 – Oregon State's size and position is holding WCC foes to 38.5% shooting on two-point attempts, which ranks first in the league
2 – Jenna Villa ranks second in the WCC with a free-throw percentage of 86.9. The mark also ranks fourth in OSU history.
10 – Oregon State has the fifth-most international players on its roster with 10 student-athletes from countries other than the USA
16 - Kennedie Shuler ranks 16th nationally in assist rate per Her Hoop Stats with helpers on 36.4% of her teammates' made shots.
SCORERS EVERYWERE
With Jenna Villa, Kennedie Shuler and Tiara Bolden enjoying career years, Oregon State's guards are a headache for opposing defenses. The Beavers are one of two WCC teams (Santa Clara) to have three players averaging 12+ points per game and all three have scored 25+ points at least once this season. Shuler (31 at Pacific) and Villa (32 v. Pacific, 31 v. Gonzaga) are the first pair of Beaver teammates to each score 30+ points at least once since Marie Gulich (36 on 2/25 v. Arizona State) and Kat Tudor (34 on 1/19 v. Oregon) in 2018.
NO CHARITY
As in year's past, Oregon State's clean defense meant opposing teams rarely make it to the charity stripe. The Beavers allow the fewest opponent free throw attempts per game in the WCC and 3rd-fewest in the nation this season at 10.4. OSU's opponents are shooting four fewer free throws per game than their next-closest conference foe (SMC, 14.4). For context, the gap between OSU and #2 is larger than the gap between #2 and last (3.4 FTA/game between Saint Mary's and Portland).
