FREE BASES:
Nobody in the West Coast Conference has drawn more walks than OSU, who enters this weekend's series with 95 walks across 34 games played. Mya Harrison (17), Jada Lewis (12), Rylei Trujillo (12) and Lici Campbell (10) are all in double-digits, and Trujillo tallied five across three games - including three in the Beavers' 9-4 victory - across the three game series with Idaho State.
DRIVE 'EM IN:
Oregon State softball has proven to have some serious pop in its lineup through 34 games this season. With a West Coast Conference leading 36 home runs, the Beavers have already tied the team's season total from 2025, while driving in 158 RBI that is some 82.3% of the team's season total last year. Jaeya Butler is tied for seventh in the country with 15 home runs and is tied for sixth with 13 doubles, while her RBI total, 41, is tied for 24th, and all three statistics lead the conference. Tristian Thompson, who has hit nine out of the park, ranks fourth in the WCC while Morgan Howey's five long balls is tied for seventh.
JUICED:
Oregon State softball enters this weekend's series with a .284 team batting average, but one thing the team has excelled at this season is hitting with the bases loaded. Across 37 total at-bats with three runners on, the Beavers' average increases to a whopping .514 with seven different student-athletes tallying at least three plate appearances. Led by Mya Harrison (3-3, 1.000), Genevieve Beacom, Camrynn Gordon and Jada Lewis are all 2-3 (.667) while Morgan Howey is 2-4 (.500). Tristian Thompson, whose seven bases loaded at-bats leads the team, is 3-7 (.429) and Jaeya Butler is 2-6 (.333).
With runners in scoring position, among the six student-athletes with at least 20 ABs, four hold a .300 or better average: Butler (27-37, .568) leads the way, and Lewis (9-20, .450) is just behind; Thompson (13-41, .317) and Gordon (6-20, .300) round out the group.
FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING:
Harrison hit the first home run of her collegiate career in game two of last weekend's series against Idaho State, smashing an 0-1 pitch over the wall in center field. The deep shot was the latest in what has been a strong season for the true freshman from Bakersfield, Calif., who his hitting .362 this season with two triples, 10 RBI and leads the team in both walks drawn (17) and on base percentage (.494), both of which are top three marks in the conference.
CONTINUED GREATNESS:
Since joining the program ahead of last season after playing her freshman year at Arizona State, Lewis has been a figure in the Oregon State lineup in 2026, building upon a strong sophomore campaign. Hitting .383 last year with 10 doubles, 16 stolen bases and an on-base percentage of .483, Lewis enters this weekend's series against San Diego hitting .381 with an on-base percentage of .454 and 11 stolen bases on 15 total attempts across 28 appearances (28 starts) in the Oregon State outfield.
FINDING A RHYTHM:
Haydn Milley pitched 6.1 innings of scoreless softball across a pair of relief appearances in Pocatello, allowing just four hits, no runs, no earned runs and striking out three while holding opposing hitters to a .167 average. A native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Milley has pitched 24.0 innings across 10 appearances this season, allowing one or fewer earned runs in seven games.
FOURTEEN:
Head Coach Laura Berg is now in year 14 leading Beaver softball in 2026, the second longest tenured head coach in program history. Only Kirk Walker (1995-2012; 18 seasons) has spent more time at the helm of the program. Of the eight head coaches in program history, Berg ranks second behind Walker for career victories, while her conference winning percentage is the top mark.
BACK THE PAC:
After two seasons as affiliate members of the WCC, the Beavers will return to the Pac-12 following the 2026 season. Though Washington State and Gonzaga don't have softball programs, the Beavs will resume Pac-12 play with Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, San Diego State, Texas State and Utah State. New members will officially join July 1, 2026.
