Beavers Close Alumni Weekend in Style
January 31, 2026 | Women's Basketball
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Lizzy Williamson scored a season-high 18 points and Oregon State rolled past San Francisco 75-53 with 4,381 in attendance on Saturday afternoon at Gill Coliseum.
Â
The festivities and Beaver Nation made for an electric atmosphere as OSU honored the 2016 Final Four team to close Alumni Weekend in Corvallis. The crowd aided the Beavers on several runs of seven points or more throughout the day and roared to life as OSU pulled away in the second half.
Â
Williamson made 9-of-12 from the floor and pulled down nine rebounds while swatting four shots for Oregon State (17-6, 9-1 WCC). Kennedie Shuler added a game-high 19 points and dished out seven assists to tie Katie McWilliams – in attendance to be honored with her 2016 teammates - for ninth-most assists by an Oregon State junior at 130 helpers.
Â
The Beavers shot 46.8 percent from the floor while holding the Dons to 37.1 percent. Oregon State dished out 18 assists on 29 baskets with Ally Schimel's four and Keira Lindemans' three aiding the effort from Shuler.
Â
Oregon State appeared to seize control early, jumping out to a 23-14 lead after the first quarter. The Dons capitalized in the second when Shuler went out with foul trouble to trim the OSU advantage to 31-28 at halftime.
Â
USF's time back in the game was short-lived as the Beavers dominated the second half 44-25 to pull away. Williamson scored 14 of her 18 in the final 20 minutes, sealing the defender in the paint and making it easy for her guards to feed the ball inside.
Â
Jenna Villa bounced back from a scoreless outing against San Diego to score 15 points, while Schimel contributed 11 points and made 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. Lindemans provided a spark off the bench, finishing with a plus-18 rating in 15 minutes of action.
Â
Elisa Mehyar provided the final joyous moment in a day full of them with an and-one for her first points of the WCC season. The sophomore grabbed a pass from Susana Yepes and battled through contact to finish the play.
Â
The victory marked the fourth time this season Oregon State had four players in double figures. The Beavers held a 42-30 advantage on the glass and capitalized on 12 San Francisco turnovers, scoring 16 points off miscues.
Â
Oregon State returns to action on Thursday when it heads to Gonzaga for a rematch of last week's overtime thriller.
